" POP THE CORK! " LEBRON JAMES IS SET TO RELEASE SPECIAL EDITION "CORK" LEBRON 10 SNEAKER, A SNEAKER LIKE NO OTHER! DECEMBER '12

LeBron James’s first NBA Championship was a long time coming, but the moment finally arrived this past June, and you can best believe that the corks were popping and the champagne was flowing. To further honor King James’s first ring, Nike has whipped up a special edition of the LeBron X featuring a genuine cork material on the upper that has previously not been seen on too many sneaker models outside of the Air Force 1 Bespoke program. In addition to commemorating LeBron’s 2012 NBA title, the “Cork” LeBron X also marks another important first for the Swoosh in that it is the first in a line of upcoming Nike Basketball releases to crossover with Nike Sportswear for premium non-performance versions of their high-profile bball models. We’ve already seen the Kobe 8 Lifestyle, but it appears that the Nike LeBron X “Cork” will beat it to the punch as the first NSW signature model to hit retail when these drop in limited quantities this December.

" 10 DEEP "

Popping champagne bottles on June 21 following his first championship was a tribute to an unprecedented year for LeBron James. Three-time league MVP, Finals MVP – these individual awards pale in comparison to the honor James and his teammates accomplished.World Champs. A distinction that stands the test of time like a fine champagne, and inspiration for a genuine cork version of James’ tenth signature shoe.  Inspired by the LEBRON X performance shoe, Nike Sportswear brings a sophisticated edge to the shoe with premium materials and fabrication intended for off-court use. This LEBRON X NSW cork edition marks the first of multiple Nike Sportswear versions of Nike signature basketball shoes, all remixed with premium materials for non-performance use. The Nike Sportswear LEBRON X cork shoe launches globally in December in limited quantities.

" FITTED RIGHT " MLB DEBUTS 2012 POST SEASON PLAYOFF HATS

In 1996 when the New York Yankees played the Atlanta Braves for the world series title, there was a new patch that debuted on the left side of the players hats. It was the first time that a patch was added to the players uniforms during the series, ever. The patch commorates the fall classic by showing the current year along with a funky baseball diamond design. The patch seem to be a hit amongst the fan's favorite and every year. So every year since  96' MLB has tried to re-capture that moment for every world series classic. This year MLB has introduced a different patch on the current palyoff team's hats commorating the 2012 playoffs before the world series. Now I'm sure that they will also have a world series hat for the 2 winners of the National and American Leagues when the series starts in a few weeks, but I'm really hoping that one day they can bring back the grey bottom hats which seem to be a better quality fit for fitted hat fans that love New Era caps. But until then for now you can purchase your 2012 Postseason hat at your nearest sports merchandise store like Lids, Modells, Footlocker and MLB.com
