NOW BEFORE ALL THE HYPE OVER CURRENT SNEAKERS OF TODAY BEGAN, I DECIDED TO GO BACK INTO THE DAYS AND LOOK AT CLASSICS SNEAKERS FROM YESTERYEAR LIKE THE EARLY 80'S, THAT DIDN'T CAUSE SO MUCH NEGATIVE DRAMA ON THE STREETS AND WAS CLEARLY AFFORDABLE TO MANY.

BACK THEN INTERNET WASN'T SOMETHING THAT EXSISTED, NO SOCAIL MEDIA BLOGS HYPED ANY OF THESE SNEAKERS UP AS THEY DO NOW. THESE SNEAKERS BELONG IN THE SNEAKER HALL OF FAME!

I HOPE  THESE BOUGHT A SMILE TO YOUR FACE AS THEY DID ME! I HOPE YOU CAN RELATE TO SOME OF THE CLASSICS I CHOSE TO SHARE TODAY! MAN! I NEED TO TRY TO GET ME SOME OF THESE NOW!!!!

GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! 2014 WORLD CUP GEAR BY NIKE, ADIDAS, PUMA AND MORE!

I can’t lie, if you would have asked a few years ago, “if I would rock a soccer Jersey?” my answer would be “No!” Honestly, I’m not the biggest soccer fan in the world and in NYC Soccer comes in 5^th place behind (Baseball, Basket Ball, US Football, and Hockey) Plus  I would only see guys of Mexican origin on the train rocking them and I would assume they play for some amateur soccer team straight of Flushing Queens, NY.  Now maybe I was a little bias, or slightly ignorant or maybe both! But my curiosity for such sports attire changed when I watched the  2012 Summer Olympics, and saw that the US Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams don some pretty nifty gear during the games. But there are other sure fire jersey, such as Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Portugal, Italia, and more!

 But still I wasn’t  totally sold on me actually getting jersey. But this has all changed during the “2014 World Cup” games in Brazil. Nike, Adidas, and Puma has produced some really nice jersey’s for all fans (Male, female, and Kids too). So let me be the first to apologize and say that “Soccer not only for people that play amateur soccer leagues within the city only!” These jerseys are DOPE!” Too bad my US team are gone form the tournament, but I must say they looked pretty stud wearing the RED, WHITE, and BLUE for our country!  But it also seems that the World Cup Phenomenon has swept through the US especially here in NYC, as I see many people wearing such jerseys from their native home land or their parents’ home land. It has definitely taken the US by storm!

   

 

 

If you would like to purchase jerseys like these below you can search on line for them thru site such as (Nike.com, Adidas.com or Puma.com) or any fine retailer that has them for retail ($60 - $90), but that’s if you can still find any left? Last I checked they were sold out in many stores  here in NYC so Good Luck!!!

The Summertime is one of the best seasons in any city across the world. Whether you are out and about with your friends or just strolling the city street with your significant other, you are out enjoying the nice summer weather in the best summer outfit you love! So keep those peticures tight and your hair cuts  nice and sharp, and make sure that your summer wardrobe that is sitting in your closet is up to date for this  2013 Summer! "Dear Summer" A LOOK BACK INTO MY SUMMER LOVE AFFAIR.... WITH NIKE!

  

As a kid growing up in brooklyn in the early 90's, I used to love going to the local sneaker spots and getting a pair of sneakers that I wanted, and I didn't have to wait on long lines like the kids now a days. I remember hearing about a "Hot" pair of sneakers in Highschool and going to Downtown Brooklyn or Jamaica Ave. to cop a pair of kicks. It was a simple thing that I miss most about my childhood. Now a days, I buy whatever I could could get my hands on, and if it's affordable??? Lol!  I try to keep it simple and not go too overboard, because I am not as young as I used to be, so wearing certain kicks as a kid, doesn't sit well with me as an adult today. But hey! If i could get a pair of sneakers that I used to won back in the days, then by all means I will search for them and possibly buy them if they are within my budget. But overall I still love the sneaker game for what it meant to me in the past and not what it stands for today. The game it isn't the same thou, limited quanities, lack of quality and high prices for today's sneaker have almost ruined today's game. But what can you do? I guess deal with is the real answer in my eyes....

But no matter what happens tomorrow, I will still love this game for what it stood for yesterday when my favorite atheletes like (Jordan, Ewing, Jackson, Hardaway, Mattingly, Sanders) and many other pro stars who donned famous footwear meant something to me back in the days. It's hard not to see atheletes now in the same light as yesterday's pro's, because all I see is "Greed". Don't get me wrong! I know there was greed back in the days, but it's is worst now! I wish I could close my eyes and go back and re-live those glory years of yesterday, but since I can't I will always have love for the only thing that kept me there since the very begining which is my love for my sneakers!

As the Summer comes to an end in a few weeks, the Fall will be fastly approaching the urban jungle we call the city. So it looks like Nike has decided to take a page out of the "Red Wings Boot" company? These new Nike Kingman ACG resembling one of the Red Wing's boots models. But never the less these seem to be legit for men's footwear this winter. I'm sure there will be different colors ways that will be produced, but these Navy Blue or "Obsdans" Boots are cooler than Eskimo sh*t. These boots will be availabe at your local nike retails within the 5 boro's and beyond. Make these a part of your footwear collection this wineter, as I will be sure to make them a part of mine as well!

" CHANGE TO COME" NIKE PLANS TO STOP MIDNIGHT RELEASES, BUT WILL IT BE ENOUGH? "

Known for their long history of producing sneakers that find such demand that individuals are willing to brave days and weeks sleeping in front of retailers, Nike is further distancing themselves from such activities with the recent news that they will no longer be having midnight releases for shoes. According to the Wall Street Journal, Nike will be employing this new rule for one of the more popular and pricy models in the future – the LeBron X – with retailers instructed to wait until 8 A.M. to start selling and posting photos and descriptions of the shoes until after the official launch. While this is aimed at curbing some of the violent and mob-like behavior in the past, others point that it’s an attempt to stop casual sneaker fans from trying to make a quick buck on a re-sell. In the sporting news today, The Wall Street Journal is confirming that Nike will be debuting the Lebron James #10 sneaker this Fall. Nike has revealed that the price tag at retail across the world will be a record setting $315.00 and this is not including tax!!!! But this isn't just any Nike sneaker, this is the 1st sneaker that will debut after LBJ first title with The Miami Heat. Lebron's last edition of the LBJ #9's were only selling for $170.00 and his NIke Elite edition jumped to $250.00 during last year's NBA playoff's. The latest sneaker will come in many color ways including his famous "South Beach" editions as well. So the question is will this be a high selling sneaker for Nike? Or will this be the first time that true Nike fans will actually withdraw from making such a high purchase?! Only time will tell, we will definitely keep watch on the street to see who will be buying and who will not buy these over the top sneaker.
